Summary

APRG1 (APRG1 tumor suppressor candidate, HGNC:24082) is a long non-coding RNA gene on chromosome 3p22.2.

Predicted to be located in membrane.

Source: NCBI Gene 339883 — RefSeq curated summary.

At a glance

  • Gene type: non-coding (lncRNA) — no protein product; not a drug target. Variant/disease associations are omitted (they would be positional, from an overlapping protein-coding gene).

Literature-anchored findings (GeneRIF, showing 1)

  • There is a trend for APRG1 transcription to be low in malignant tissues and lower still in those patients who develop progressive disease, also between gr I and gr III tumors. Results suggestive of APRG1 acting as a tumour suppressor gene. (PMID:16187228)
