Summary

LIN28B-AS1 (LIN28B antisense RNA 1, HGNC:21553) is a long non-coding RNA gene on chromosome 6q16.3.

At a glance

  • Gene type: non-coding (lncRNA) — no protein product; not a drug target. Variant/disease associations are omitted (they would be positional, from an overlapping protein-coding gene).

Literature-anchored findings (GeneRIF, showing 2)

  • Study provides evidence that LIN28B-AS1 was the first functional cancer-testis (CT)-lncRNA in cancer and comprises a regulation network with CT protein IGF2BP1 and LIN28B in the carcinogenesis of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). LIN28B-AS1 regulates LIN28B expression and promotes proliferation and metastasis in LUAD cells by interacting with IGF2BP1. (PMID:30353165)
  • LIN28B-AS1-IGF2BP1 binding promotes hepatocellular carcinoma cell progression. (PMID:32917856)
