LUNAR1 (leukemia-associated non-coding IGF1R activator RNA 1, HGNC:51199) is a long non-coding RNA gene on chromosome 15q26.3.
This gene is thought to produce a functional long non-coding RNA. It is regulated by Notch and is overexpressed in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The transcript acts as a positive regulator of cell division by promoting expression of the insulin-like growth factor type I receptor (IGF1R) gene.
