Summary
MIR34BHG (MIR34B and MIR34C host gene, HGNC:55987) is a long non-coding RNA gene on chromosome 11q23.1.
Predicted to be involved in miRNA-mediated post-transcriptional gene silencing.

At a glance
- Gene type: non-coding (lncRNA) — no protein product; not a drug target. Variant/disease associations are omitted (they would be positional, from an overlapping protein-coding gene).

Literature-anchored findings (GeneRIF, showing 1)
- Results identified a novel lncRNA LOC728196 highly expressed in glioma tissues. LOC728196 high expression predicts low survival rate in patients. Its knockdown repressed cellular growth, migration and invasion in vitro. Further results demonstrated that LOC728196 acts as the sponge for miR-513c to upregulate TCF7 expression. This study suggests a role of LOC728196 in glioma progression (PMID:30179681)
