Summary

NFIA-AS1 (NFIA antisense RNA 1, HGNC:40402) is a long non-coding RNA gene on chromosome 1p31.3.

At a glance

  • Gene type: non-coding (lncRNA) — no protein product; not a drug target. Variant/disease associations are omitted (they would be positional, from an overlapping protein-coding gene).

Literature-anchored findings (GeneRIF, showing 3)

  • Long noncoding RNA RP5-833A20.1 mediated signaling was essential to the regulation of cholesterol homeostasis and inflammatory reactions. (PMID:25265644)
  • These results demonstrated that RP5833A20.1 inhibited tumor cell proliferation, induced apoptosis and inhibited cellcycle progression by suppressing the expression of NFIA in U251 cells. (PMID:27779670)
  • MIR222 and lncRNA NFIA-AS1 are down-regulated and different expressions in different TNM stages. (PMID:30775882)
