Summary

OTUD6A (OTU deubiquitinase 6A, HGNC:32312) is a protein-coding gene on chromosome Xq13.1, encoding OTU domain-containing protein 6A (Q7L8S5). Deubiquitinating enzyme that hydrolyzes ‘Lys-27’-, ‘Lys-29’- and ‘Lys-33’-linked polyubiquitin chains.

Deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs; see MIM 603478) are proteases that specifically cleave ubiquitin (MIM 191339) linkages, negating the action of ubiquitin ligases. DUBA2 belongs to a DUB subfamily characterized by an ovarian tumor (OTU) domain.
