Summary

SAP30L-AS1 (SAP30L and GALNT10 antisense RNA 1, HGNC:26760) is a long non-coding RNA gene on chromosome 5q33.2.

At a glance

  • Gene type: non-coding (lncRNA) — no protein product; not a drug target. Variant/disease associations are omitted (they would be positional, from an overlapping protein-coding gene).

Literature-anchored findings (GeneRIF, showing 1)

  • Results show that SAP30L-AS1 is increased in prostate cancer tissues and cell lines. Moreover, increased expression of SAP30LAS1 indicates greater Gleason score, advanced pathological T stage, and poor overall survival. Functional experiments revealed that ectopic expression of SAP30L-AS1 promotes prostate cancer proliferation and inhibits apoptosis in vitro. (PMID:30599235)
