Summary
SNORA81 (small nucleolar RNA, H/ACA box 81, HGNC:32667) is a small nucleolar RNA gene on chromosome 3q27.3.
Small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) are small noncoding RNAs involved in RNA processing. Box H/ACA snoRNAs, such as SNORA81, direct the conversion of uridine to pseudouridine at specific residues of ribosomal RNAs or small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs) (Gu et al., 2005).

At a glance
- Gene type: non-coding (snoRNA) — no protein product; not a drug target. Variant/disease associations are omitted (they would be positional, from an overlapping protein-coding gene).
